A free Google Slides™ add-on. Browse 2,500+ Material Symbols™ icons or upload any custom SVG. Pick a color, click Copy SVG to Slide, then paste directly as a fully editable vector shape — no file exports, no tab switching.
Find SVG to Slides in the Google Workspace Marketplace and install it. It adds an Extensions → SVG to Slides → Icon Finder menu to all your presentations.
Click Extensions → SVG to Slides → Icon Finder. A sidebar opens inside Google Slides with two tabs: Material for browsing icons, and Upload SVG for custom files.
On the Material tab, search and browse 2,500+ icons — adjust style (Outlined / Rounded / Sharp), weight (100–700), and fill. On the Upload SVG tab, drop in any SVG file to preview it and copy it as shapes.
Enter any hex color — it applies to the whole Material icon automatically. For custom SVGs, enable Recolor using picker to override existing fills. Choose Small (1″), Medium (2″), or Large (3″) for the pasted shape size.
The shape is written to your clipboard as a native Google Drawings™ object — not a PNG or embedded SVG file.
Press Cmd+V (or Ctrl+V) in your slide. The shape appears as a fully editable vector — resize, recolor, or ungroup its paths directly in Slides.
Vector shapes scale perfectly — no pixelation at any presentation size or zoom level.
Change the icon fill color using Slides' native format panel — no need to re-export.
Paste the same icon into multiple slides or presentations. Group, layer, and animate like any other shape.
